

Are lockers available for rent?
Omaha's Zoo does not have lockers available for guests. However, guests are permitted to bring bags, coolers and wagons to carry around the Zoo. No glass containers or alcohol is allowed.
Are motorized wheel chairs available for rent?
Omaha's Zoo does not have motorized carts available to rent.
Manual wheelchairs and adult chairs are available for rent. The cost is $8 each per day.
In addition, Omaha's Zoo has a tram, train and Skyfari available, weather permitting.

Yes, Zoo guests may bring their own motorized wheelchairs.
Do you rent strollers and/or wagons?
Strollers and wagons are available to rent while enjoying Omaha’s Zoo. A single stroller is $8 for the day. Double strollers or wagons are $12 for the day. They are available at the Main Entrance Gift Shop all year round or at the gazebo outside the North Gate Gift Shop from Memorial Day to Labor Day. All rentals are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Can we bring our own strollers and/or wagons?
Yes, Zoo guests may bring their own strollers and wagons.
What are your hours for admission?
9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Labor Day to Memorial Day.
8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Omaha’s Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Do you have an ATM?
There is one ATM at Omaha’s Zoo, serviced by US Bank. It is located at the Main Entrance outside of the Gift Shop.
What types of payment do you accept?
The forms of payment accepted at Omaha's Zoo are cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express), Travelers checks, Cashier checks, Money orders or Business/Company/School checks.
Doorly Dollars are also available and can be purchased at Guest Services and the Lozier IMAX® Theater. They are sold in increments of $5 and can be used throughout the entire Zoo.
Once inside Omaha’s Zoo, do you accept credit cards or checks?
Omaha's Zoo will accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express and Traveler’s checks. There are several portable concession stands that will only accept cash.
Sue's Carousel and Tram will accept prepaid ride tickets, Travelers checks, Cashier checks, Money orders, Business/Company/School checks and cash. The Train and Skyfari accept all forms of payment listed above as well as Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Are there any exhibits that are closed throughout the day?
There are times when certain animals will be off display or an exhibit may be closed. This information will be posted at the gates upon admission.
Expedition Madagascar walk-through lemur exhibit will operate Friday
through Sunday only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Can we purchase day passes online?
Omaha's Zoo does not offer the ability to purchase day passes online. To purchase day passes ahead of time or for a gift, please call (402) 733-8401 or visit Guest Services. Omaha’s Zoo will mail the day passes or hold them at Guest Services until the arrival date.

If we leave and come back the same day, do we have to pay to re-enter?
When guests first arrive at Omaha’s Zoo, their hand will be stamped and will be given a receipt. Please use these items for re-entry.
Do you offer a discount for students?
Yes, Omaha's Zoo offers discounts for schools paying as a group but there are no discounts for individual students. If you are interested in an Education rate for your school group, please contact our Education Department at (402) 738-2092.
Do you offer a discount for a two-day pass?
Omaha’s Zoo does not offer a two-day discounted pass. A household membership would allow access to Omaha’s Zoo through March 31, 2011, for two adults and dependent children ages 20 and under from one address along with reciprocal privileges to many other zoos across the country.

Do you offer any group rates?
Group discounts are offered to groups of 40 or more with a reservation. Organized groups call (402) 738-6916 to make a reservation.

Do you offer a military discount?
Omaha's Zoo does not offer a military discount on daily admission but offers an active duty military, guard or reserve pass. An active duty photo ID card must be presented at the time of purchase. The military pass is $45 and will allow admission for two adults and dependent children or grandchildren 20 years old and under from one address. The military pass is good through March 31, 2011. There are no reciprocal privileges with other zoos with this pass. The price is valid through December 31, 2010. The pass can be purchased at Guest Services and the Lozier IMAX® Theater.
Do you offer a discount for AAA or other clubs?
Omaha’s Zoo does not offer discounts on daily admission for AAA or other clubs.
Do you have any coupons available somewhere online or at any stores?
Omaha’s Zoo strives to keep our admission costs low in order for families to visit multiple times. At this time there are no discounts to our admission.
Is there a discount if we arrive late in the day?
Omaha’s Zoo does not offer prorated admission for late entry.
Do you offer discounts for home school families?
Omaha's Zoo does not offer any discounts for home school families. Large groups may contact our Education Department to arrange a possible group discount at (402) 738-2092.
For large families, a household membership would be a great value. The 2010 household membership admits two adults and dependent children or grandchildren age 20 and under from one address through March 31, 2011.

Can we bring outside food and beverages? Can we bring coolers and bags?
Omaha's Zoo allows outside food and beverages. Coolers and bags are allowed, however guests may not bring glass containers or alcohol into the Zoo.
Is there an extra fee to visit the exhibits? Are there additional costs besides the admission charge?
Omaha's Zoo admission covers entrance into all exhibits. Additional charges include: Skyfari, train rides, tram rides, Sue's Carousel, IMAX® shows, concession items and gift shop purchases.

Are there restrictions on the rides?
The tram and Sue's Carousel operates daily from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The train operates Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The $5.00 all day ride pass will be redeemed for a wristband at Omaha Depot or Kenefick Station.
Skyfari and the Budgie Encounter operates daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All rides are weather dependent and will not operate if there is rain, snow, ice or if the temperature will not reach 50 degrees by 1 p.m.
You must be 12 years old to ride Skyfari without and adult. Children under the age of 12 will be required to ride with an adult.
You must be at least 42 inches tall to ride Sue's Carousel.
Are there refunds if we do not use our ride ticket?
Ride Tickets are non-refundable. If guests have a ticket remaining with the exception of the train all day ride pass, it may be used on another visit. The train all day ride pass must be redeemed on the date of purchase.
Can we purchase a pass to ride all rides the entire day?
Omaha's Zoo does not offer an all day ride pass for all rides (Skyari, the tram, Train and Carousel). We do offer a $5.00 all day ride pass for the train only. The train all day ride pass must be redeemed on the date of purchase.
Can we smoke in the zoo?
Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo is smoke and tobacco free.

Does the combo rate mean both movies?
Combo rates are offered for admission into Omaha's Zoo and one film in the Lozier IMAX® Theater.

I lost my membership card, can I still come in? How much for a replacement card?
A replacement membership card is available for a lost card and can be purchased at Guest Services or the Lozier IMAX® Theater for $5. The replacement card will void the original card.
Can I bring a guest with my membership?
An Omaha's Zoo household membership admits two adults on each visit as long as one adult is a member listed in our records.
Can I bring my guests' children, or friends of my children?
Household memberships admit dependent children age 20 and under from one address. Ages 16 through 20 must provide the membership card and photo ID matching the address in our records. A member may accompany grandchildren age 20 an under from one address per visit.
Can I bring my daycare group under my membership?
Household memberships do not admit daycares. If a daycare is a group of 40 or more, a group discount is available.

Can my child's caregiver use my membership to take my children to the zoo?
Please contact Omaha's Zoo at member@omahazoo.com with the eight-digit bar code number and the caregiver’s name. The membership records will be updated in three to five working days. The caregiver must provide the membership card and photo ID on each visit.
If both cardholders are present, can we still bring a guest?
Omaha's Zoo membership will admit only two adults each visit.
